Cannon Runs for Children takes place Saturday, March 28th 2026 at the Cannon County Arts Center.  Children and their parents run in the event.  The Run funds the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center.  2026 is the 8th year for the event.

 Child Advocacy Center celebrates 

Child Abuse Prevention Month with the Hometown Heroes Walk for Children.  

This free event will take place on Friday, April 24th 2026.  The walk begins at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza and concludes with a picnic lunch at Oakland Park Pavilion.  Awards are given to local Hometown Heroes. 2026 is the 11th year for the Hometown Heroes Walk.

Join us for a casino themed night under the stars. This year's party will be held at Oakland's Mansion on Friday, September 12th from 6pm-9pm.

 The Turkey Tee Off is a golf tournament held  every November at Smyrna Golf Course.  Registration begins at 8 a.m. and tee off is at 9 a.m. Registration includes breakfast and lunch. 2025 is the 15th year for the Turkey Tee Off.
