 Light Up the Night is an end of the summer party that has been held on a Friday evening in September.  Guests dance under the starts, mix and mingle, and enjoy a summer evening.  Guests are asked to wear white to help Light Up the Night.  

2024 is the 7th year for the event.

 The Turkey Tee Off is a golf tournament held  in November at Smyrna Golf Course.  Registration begins at 

8 a.m., with a breakfast, guest speakers, and a 9 a.m. tee off.  Phillip and Steven Smith and the Smith family were the founders of the event.  

2024 is the 14th year for the Turkey Tee Off.   

Cannon Runs for Children takes place Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the Cannon County Arts Center.  Children and their parents run in the event.  The Run funds the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center.  2025 is the 7th year for the event.

 Child Advocacy Center celebrates 

Child Abuse Prevention Month with the Hometown Heroes Walk for Children.  

This free event will take place on Friday, April 25th 2025.  The walk begins at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza and concludes with a picnic lunch at Oakland Park Pavilion.  Awards are given to local Hometown Heroes. 2025 is the 10th year for the Hometown Heroes Walk.
