In the last 12 years, the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center in collaboration with the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office have worked together to investigate and aggressively prosecute 1,122 child abuse cases and assist over 1,700 individuals. Since 2012, the Child Advocacy Center has educated over 269 adults how to protect children from child sexual abuse.
It is the belief of the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center that children deserve the best, especially in their times of crisis.
Cannon Runs for Children is a fun run that is held on a Saturday. Children and their parents run in the event. The Run funds the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center. It is a 3.1 mile course. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. at Dillon Park, registration starts at 6:45 a.m., with speakers at 7:15 a.m. There is a $20 entry fee for adults and children run FREE!! 2019 is the 3rd year for the event.
